Sarah and Sara recently checked out Ezra Furman -- check out their recap below!
In today's world, we're all on a constant search for authenticity. Authentic friends to swap music with, authentic artists to listen to, and authentic concert experiences to attend. Ezra Furman's intimate performance at Rock & Roll Hotel was the perfect combo of all of these things -- all at once.
This Chicago artist is on the rise, and the live performance lives up to the hype. The audience watched in awe as the set continued, engaged through the last song. There was something sincerely honest about the performance -- the singer, the band -- something that is hard to find with modern day acts that often try too hard to fit a certain bill or sector of the music industry. Ezra and the band sell such the opposite, that it's freeing.
The Guardian said it best, that "Ezra Furman has made an album of classicist rock’n’roll that never feels like an exercise, but a living, breathing piece of self expression." As music lovers, we're lucky to get to peek inside and explore this piece of self expression.
Thanks, gals! Next up -- Krista and Caleb are off at the FIRST ever Okeechobee Festival this weekend! Stay tuned on Instagram and Twitter for frequent updates!!
