It was such a treat to see Ra Ra Riot perform the other night at the 9:30 Club fresh off the release of their third album Beta Love.
I've been jamming to the entire Beta Love album since it's release this week and I was pleased to hear the fun, synthpop direction the band has taken with this new album. From the high notes that Wes hits on the title track (seriously, I worry for his vocal chords) to the thoughtful performance of "When I Dream," I like where these dudes are going.
(Please note the sparkly violin. I was lusting after it all night. So shiny.)
The highlight of the show for me was the one-two punch of my new favorite "Dance With Me" and my oldest and most favorite Ra Ra Riot song ever "Can You Tell."
Highly recommend streaming the album on Spotify (other faves include "Angel, Please" and "Binary Mind") and download "Beta Love" for free here.
Next Up: Walk The Moon at the 9:30 Club!
